The warm days of summer are right around the corner, which means it’s time for the 10th session of the Blackstone Legal Fellowship. Over the past nine years, 703 outstanding law students have graduated from this one-of-a-kind leadership training program, which provides the next generation of attorneys with a solid legal grounding in constitutional law, as well as Christian worldview. Because of God’s grace and the faithful support of ADF ministry friends, 110 students will be able to participate this summer.
In addition, ADF will be conducting its 32nd National Litigation Academy (NLA)this June, with our largest class yet – over 100 attorneys. With the conclusion of this session, God will have blessed us with more than 1,300 NLA-trained attorneys who have provided $90 million worth of free legal counsel in the service of the Body of Christ.
On the litigation front, oral arguments were held in early March before the California Supreme Court in defense of Proposition 8, the state’s marriage amendment enacted by more than seven million voters last November. ADF has provided key assistance to those defending the amendment against the latest legal attack from same-sex “marriage” advocates. The California Supreme Court has 90 days to issue its decision, which could come at any time. Please be in prayer about this nation-shaping case for the future of religious freedom, marriage, and the family in America.
